London Gatwick Airport and mining firm Rio Tinto have been shortlisted in the category Best motivation or recognition scheme at the Employee Benefits Awards 2025.
This award was created to recognise a successful motivation strategy that uses either incentives or motivational benefits to help drive employee performance, engagement or retention.
The full category shortlist is:
- Exclusive Collection
- London Gatwick Airport
- Rio Tinto
2024’s ceremony saw Welcome Break win the award as a result of its variety of motivation and recognition schemes that resonated with the diversity of its team and align to its organisational objectives.
The combination of cash rewards, unique experiences and creative incentives not only positively impacted its workforce but also contributed to significant improvements in key business results, customer experience and overall organisational success.
The judges thought it was a good submission with strong metrics and results. They thought it was a good idea to communicate successes across its different brands and locations.
A Welcome Break spokesperson said: “We have put a huge amount of work in to understanding our team and what motivates and drives them over the last four or five years, and particularly post-Covid, we’ve changed our entire benefits and incentives, so to be recognised for that contribution is outstanding.”
