Something for the weekend: Pet wellness firm Spot and Tango is searching for a summer intern to judge the freshness of New York canines’ breath.

Described as New York’s first resident breathbuster, the successful candidate will be required to sniff out the pooches with the freshest breath in order to help the brand evaluate the effectiveness of its new top-secret doggy dental product.

As well as being required to conduct up-close breath assessments on a diverse panel of pups, the job holder will also be expected to maintain detailed scent notes, collaborate with canine focus groups and provide real-time feedback.

The job advert states: “We need someone brave, bold, and nosy (literally) to get up close and personal with NYC’s finest canines. You’ll also be responsible for conducting breath tests around dog parks, creating a funk-o-meter evaluation metric, and running competitive analysis.”

Experience in canine behaviour, vet tech or pet wellness is a bonus.

In return, they will receive unlimited dog cuddles, a dog-friendly New York office, competitive compensation and killer merchandise.

Here at Employee Benefits, we think this sounds like a paw-some opportunity for dog lovers…
